Operating primarily in the agri-food sector across food, feed, functional ingredients, water, beer and the wider beverage industry. CD R&D was set up in 2012 by Craig Duckham, to provide microencapsulation and analytical testing services and products, ensuring effective service provision for clients.
We provide extensive experience in identifying the appropriate technology to apply to emerging challenges, negotiating with contractors, agreeing timescales, securing competitive pricing and delivering products to specified quality standards. Few consultants are in as good a position to offer independent expertise across diverse technologies to identify the best approach to meet the challenges of modern NPD projects. For example in terms of microencapsulation this may include: spray drying, spray-chilling, extrusion, fluid bed coating or coacervation. CD R&D helps clients negotiate the inevitable hurdles that arise by providing insight and project management support in areas that embrace research in food flavour release, taints and off flavours, innovation and technology horizon scanning, laboratory development and technical team leadership.
